Writing- write down how your feeling, you could write a poem or a story or in a journal whatever helps you to feel better
Music- listening to music can make you feel better, it can cheer you up and distract your mind and you can sing along to the music (i sometimes do that) just try and make sure its not sad, depressing music it will make you feel worse
Go for a walk- i know you might not feel like going outside because your feeling down or upset but if you go outside and get some fresh air it can help you to calm down or to clear your head
Draw- drawing anything or doodling can help you get out how your feeling, it can distract your mind and you never know you might draw something really good and get your creavitity flowing
Punch a pillow- if your angry punching a pillow can help you get your anger out
Talk to someone- talking to someone when you're feeling down or that you cant cope can help you, whether its talking to a friend or family member or ringing a helpline in confidence it can help you to feel better and like you're not on your own
Reading- reading a book, magazine or comic can help you to distract your mind and think of something else
Get enough sleep- making sure you get enough sleep can help you feel better, if you're tired and not getting enough sleep it can make you feel worse so try and get at least 8 hours sleep a night
Eating healthy- try and eat healthy (i know it boring to eat healthy) but getting fruit and vegetables in your system can make you feel a bit better but having too much caffine and sugary food will make you feel worse

A water bearer in China had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck.
One pot had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments for which it was made.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.
After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream... ‘I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house’.
The bearer said to the pot, ‘Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?’’ That’s because I have always known about your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path. Every day while we walk back, you’ve watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table ‘without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house’’.
Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaw. We’re all cracked pots. But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You must take each person for what they are, and look for the good in each one.
